Dusty Girls

I was scooting about on the Moo Goo website the other week, admiring all their products, when I spied a link to this new makeup.  Being a big Moo Goo fan I was very excited to see that they have now launched into a makeup range.  Although not quite yet available in stores (it will apparently be coming soon), you can view and buy it here at Dusty Girls

Now Moo Goo is all about using natural ingredients (see my review here) and it has continued this on into their makeup.  They have kept it natural and healthy for the skin, all the while being conscious of those with sensitive skin and also skin problems.  I love that it doesn't contain any chemicals and, as their packaging tells me, it is not tested on animals because "they are cute enough without makeup."  I do love the hint of humour that goes along with their products and their packaging!

I bought three products.
I got this 'Earth Cream' which is a natural tinted face cream that has ingredients in it for acne prone skin.  Now I'm not one to suffer from acne, I was lucky that I never did severely, but I got the odd spot...in fact I still do.  It comes in Light or Medium (I got the Light) and comes in this handy pump bottle.  It is the same colour as your normal foundation but it goes on much lighter, which I really like as I am not into heavy foundation at all, in fact I hardly ever wear it (only a BB cream if anything), so this is great.  And it does even out your complexion as it claims.  Also, if you want a bit more coverage you could just add a bit more.  Bonus is the built in sun protection.  A big plus in my book considering I live in Australia and do venture out on the farm a fair bit.

There were two different lip products, which I couldn't decide between the two so I got both.  Ha!
This is the Natural Mineral Lip Gloss in 'Sun Shower' that has just a hint of colour.  It's a tiny bit pinky, more like your natural lip colour, which is nice.  There is another lip gloss too in 'Pacific Shimmer' which just gives you a natural shimmer.  I do like this lip gloss, although normally I'm not a big fan of shiny lips.  Perhaps because it only has a tiny hint of colour, and as I am a minimalist makeup kind of girl, it suits me better.

The other lip product is this Natural Mineral Lip Shine...
This is the only colour in this Lip Shine and is called 'Argyle Pink', after the Pink Argyle Diamond found in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.  This is a lovely lip shine that gives you the nicest hint of colour, a lovely rosy pink, and it says that it is conditioning and moisturising as well, which so far I have found that this is right on the money.  My lips haven't felt dry using this, and as it is now Spring this pretty colour is perfect.  It's also great to know that they use food based ingredients in their lip shine, as it is pointed out that we consume a vast quantity of our lip stick over the years (blergh!), and that the colour in 'Argyle Pink' is not from Cochineal Beetles, so essentially....we are not eating bugs!!  Good to know!

I'm looking forward to Dusty Girls being available in the shops.  I buy all my Moo Goo from my local chemist, so hopefully this will all be available along side it. My only slight negative was that it was slow to reach me...I ordered it and didn't receive it until a week later...and it did only have to come from Queensland (there is a whole State in between us), but when I sent an email of enquiry I received a prompt and polite response, so I wasn't too stressed.  I did want to purchase the mascara, although it was out of stock at the time, but I will give it a go when my current one runs out.

They also make a mineral foundation, a bronzer, a really nice looking blush and a kabuki brush, which was pretty tempting.

Overall I have been very pleased, and look forward to finding it in store!

I am having a Moo Goo Giveaway, so head over and enter for your chance to win!
