So on to my goals....
I actually haven't really given it that much thought but there are a few things that stand out for me.
Health
Ok when I say health I mean my back and my anxiety. My back is a huge problem at the moment and has been since about three months after my daughter was born. She is now almost 18 months. As it turns out I have arthritis in my back as well as a bulging disc so I can't sleep due to the pain and I spend the majority of my time in agony. This year, for my own sanity, I need to get on top of this. I have started working on my core strength already, so this is my main goal...to strength up my core through targeted exercises and swimming. Hopefully the pain shall recede as I gain my strength. An off-shoot of this is I also might lose the baby fat around my hips and tummy (impossible to shift ladies!!), which would be an added bonus. (Note: Think twice before having four children....three of those being within the last 5 years!)
Panic attacks are another problem for me so I want to nip those in the bud this year too.
Travel
I haven't had a holiday since my honeymoon, which was over 5 years ago. My husband is not really a big believer in holidays so I am planning on booking one, stuffing him in the car and just driving him there. Fingers crossed it happens.
Horse
With improved core strength I shall hopefully be able to ride more and with that increase my confidence, skills and improve my horse. (She can be a little naughty at times.) Are you reading this Ruby?!?! Look out..I'm coming!
House and Garden
My home is a bit blah. I'm not very good at decorating and have a lot of second hand furniture and nothing is really how I want it. I would like to start to furnish and decorate properly and the garden is terrible. Basically there is none. That needs fixing too.
Work
Continue writing and taking photos for the magazine I work for, which may be expanding into other projects, which would mean more work. This would be a great thing. This could then pay for my phantom holiday and all the things I want to do around the house.
Blog
This will be my first full year of blogging properly so I am looking forward to really gearing it up. I would like to build up my following and start to look towards making blogging a full time job. It may not happen this year but I would like to put the steps in place to make it happen. Using social media to its full potential would be another goal, as well as making lots of new blogger friends and connections. I would also like to attend some blogger events if possible (when babysitting is available!)
In terms of content I am enjoying the sudden fashion turn that my blog has taken, so there will be more OOTD posts, which really requires more skill in taking photos of myself (!) and learning how to pose better...because frankly, I'm no model! Also the new direction I would like to take is introducing a Weekly Vlog. There are a couple of blogs whose weekly videos I love watching, and even though their lives are WAY more interesting...(ie. living in glamorous cities, going out to restaurants...having no kids tagging along with them..... ) I kind of figured that an insight into the life of a 'married-with-lots-of-kids-sheep-farming-horse-riding-cowgirl-type' might be a little bit amusing. Just for something different. Anyway, we'll see how we go.
Wishing you all a great 2015! May all your dreams come true!
